Aphrodite's Child

Sat by the riverside, we watched them float away,
all our worries and problems from the old days.
Together hand in hand, we laid our heads and smiled,
let us dream on, and forget the world for a while.

Joyful in the garden, we did dance and play,
all our sorrows forgotten and woes gone away.
In unison we smile, drifting on with the stream,
let us be here forever, swept away with the dream.

O' these wondrous times together,
gone are the others.
O' the joy I see in your warming smile,
my precious one, Aphrodite's child...

Lain together, in the forrest of our sleep,
always and forever, only our hearts shall we greet.
Never to leave each other, in the wash of the rain,
let us be one in this world of ours, so far from pain.
